What is the Process of PGD?

The process of PGD involves the following steps:

• Ovarian Stimulation: The first step involves the stimulation of the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, which are then collected during a minor surgical procedure.
• Fertilization: The collected eggs are then fertilized with sperm in a laboratory, creating embryos.
• Embryo Biopsy: After 3-5 days, a single cell is extracted from each embryo and analyzed for any genetic or chromosomal abnormalities.
• Embryo Transfer: Healthy embryos are then transferred to the uterus, and any affected embryos are discarded.
